AvoKai ("the App") is developed and operated by Flavio Andrade, an independent developer ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the App collects, why, who it is shared with, and the choices you have.

1. Summary

AvoKai works offline-first: your logs live on your device by default.
You only get a cloud account if you choose to sign in, and signing in exists so your data can be backed up and restored.
Food photos and descriptions you submit for analysis are sent to our AI provider to produce a nutrition estimate. They are not used to train AI models.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use third-party advertising or ad tracking.

2. Information we collect

2.2 Information collected automatically

Device identifier — a random, app-generated device ID used to reconcile sync between your devices. It is not your advertising identifier and is not shared for advertising.
Purchase status — whether you hold an active subscription, together with the anonymous customer ID assigned by our subscription provider.
Diagnostic data — crash and error information, where you have enabled sharing with Apple, and server-side error logs from our backend.

2.3 What we do NOT collect

No location data. No contacts. No advertising identifier (IDFA). No cross-app tracking. No third-party ad networks or analytics SDKs.

3. How your information is used

To calculate and display your nutrition targets, daily totals and progress.
To analyze food photos, labels, barcodes and descriptions into nutrition estimates.
